ALMA is Casera’s dedicated platform for Collection ownership, bringing together bookings, home information, Collection updates, and owner resources in one place.
Owners can view availability across homes and seasons, plan travel well in advance, and manage their time within the Collection with clarity and ease.
What follows outlines the key principles behind booking within a Collection.
Points and booking rounds
The system is points-based, with weeks across each home weighted according to season and demand. Each owner receives the same allocation of points to use within the booking year.
Points are released in booking rounds, allowing every owner the opportunity to prioritize their most desired times before the next round begins. Unused points do not carry over, ensuring equal access every year.
Planning ahead
Booking rounds open one year in advance, allowing owners to plan holidays 12–23 months ahead around school schedules, work commitments, and preferred travel periods.
Planning ahead offers the widest range of choice, while opportunities to book remain available throughout the year as availability evolves.
Extended stays
The booking system is designed to support meaningful time in each destination. Booking rounds prioritize longer stays within a single home, allowing owners to settle in rather than moving between homes.
After all owners have had the opportunity to secure priority extended stays, the platform becomes more flexible, allowing owners to combine homes within a single trip.
The Beach Home in Summer
The one exception to ALMA’s support for extended stays within a single home is the Beach Home during the summer months, when demand is highest across the Collection.
During this period, shorter stays help maintain fair access for all owners. Throughout the remainder of the year across all homes, ALMA continues to prioritize longer stays within a single home.
Flexibility
Plans change. Owners can cancel bookings, recover points according to cancellation policies, join waitlists, and receive access to newly available time throughout the year.
Collection homes are reserved exclusively for owners and are never rented to the public. As availability evolves throughout the year, opportunities to travel can continue to emerge. Bookings made within 30 days of arrival do not require points.
