Meet Carly and José Duarte, founders of Casera. They call Cádiz home.
A Cádiz native, José has spent nearly two decades identifying and restoring homes throughout the province, building a trusted local network across real estate, architecture, construction, and skilled trades. As a certified real estate valuation expert through Spain’s Association of Appraisers (API), he brings extensive market knowledge and a keen eye for properties with potential. With a deep understanding of local planning, licensing, and restoration requirements, he oversees every Collection home from acquisition through delivery. His background in electronic engineering and software development informs Casera’s owner platform and booking system.
Carly brings twenty years of experience spanning architecture, interior design, project delivery, and client service across New York City and Europe. She served as Design Director for a leading Manhattan architectural firm, delivering complex projects for global brands and private clients. She later co-founded a Manhattan-based design practice before leading the U.S. expansion of a European luxury furniture brand. Today, she oversees the design and furnishing of every Collection home, working alongside Casera’s wider team and trusted local network, while shaping the overall ownership experience.
Together, Carly and José combine local real estate expertise with international design and project delivery experience to offer a simple path to holiday home ownership in southern Spain.
