FINCA CO-OWNERSHIP
A countryside home set on expansive grounds, where heritage meets a considered way to own.
WHAT IS A FINCA?
The Spanish word finca describes a rural home set on private land, long associated with a lasting connection to place, generational ownership, and a certain quiet distinction. While the size of these properties varies, they are defined by simple architecture and a sense of space and seclusion. Across Andalusia, fincas planted with olive trees and vineyards have shaped the terrain for centuries, playing a central role in the culinary traditions of Spain and forming part of a living tradition tied to both culture and craft.
This enduring relationship between home and land defines the setting of a Casera Finca.
What a Casera Finca Includes
A Casera Finca spans 3–5 hectares (7–12 acres) of private land, including a working vineyard or olive grove that reflects the agricultural character of the region. At its center is a residence designed to accommodate twelve or more guests, with a focus on outdoor living and wellness.
Professional property and land management maintains the finca year-round, allowing for a seamless experience of ownership. A dedicated booking platform ensures balanced and consistent access among co-owners.
A Working Landscape
Each Casera Finca includes a private olive grove or vineyard. All cultivation is carried out by local specialists, coordinated by Casera, from pruning and irrigation to harvest and delivery to nearby cooperatives for the production of olive oil or wine.
While yields may contribute modestly to the finca’s operating costs, they are not intended as a financial return. The value lies in the experience of owning productive land that follows a seasonal rhythm and remains connected to the enduring practices of Andalusia, without the responsibility of managing it.
The Home
A Casera Finca centers around a private home designed to accommodate twelve or more guests. The home is professionally maintained and fully prepared for each arrival. Additional services, including grocery provisioning and private chef arrangements, can be coordinated through Casera Concierge. Outdoor spaces extend the experience of the home, with a pool, shaded terraces, and areas for dining and gathering. Wellness features, such as a sauna and heated spa pool, are thoughtfully incorporated. Depending on the property, the residence may consist of restored structures, new construction, or a thoughtful combination of both.
